The two sets of pleats here are twisted in opposite directions.  These three (15, 16, 17) were folded from 8 inch squares.  I had used pleat twisting a few times before, for example in some pieces shown <a href=\"https:\/\/organicorigami.com\/gallery\/Pleat%20Tessellations%2009\/index.html\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/organicorigami.com\/gallery\/Pleat%20Tessellations%2010\/index.html\">here<\/a>, but always with flattened square twists.  In the current pieces, the pleats are twisted one by one and their intersections are not opened up.
